1. What HugSongs is

HugSongs ("we", "us") makes personalized songs from the details you give us. You answer a few questions, we write lyrics and produce a song with the recipient's name in it, you hear a free preview, and you can unlock the full song for a one-time payment. By using hugsongs.com you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

2. How songs are made

Songs are written and produced with artificial intelligence from the details you share. The music and vocals are generated with technology powered by Treblo. The vocals are synthetic; no human singer performs your song. Every song is checked automatically, and you can request changes. Because of how these systems work, two songs made from similar details may resemble each other, and we cannot guarantee that a song is unique or that it qualifies for copyright protection.

3. Your inputs

You confirm that the names, stories, and details you give us are yours to share, that they are about someone who would be comfortable being the subject of the song, and that they contain nothing unlawful, hateful, sexual, harassing, or aimed at hurting anyone. We may decline to make, or may remove, a song that breaks this rule. We use your details only to make and deliver your song and to support you; see the privacy policy for the full picture.

4. The free preview

The preview is a short clip of the finished song with a spoken HugSongs tag. It is free, needs no payment details, and stays available for 14 days from the day it is made. After that it may be deleted. The preview is for you to decide whether to buy; please don't publish or distribute it.

5. Buying the full song

Unlocking the full song is a one-time payment processed by Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay and include any applicable tax where we are required to collect it. After payment you get the full-length song without the voice tag, MP3 and WAV downloads, a private song page with the lyrics, and unlimited free revisions (section 7). Delivery is immediate.

6. What you may do with your song

Once unlocked, you receive a personal, worldwide, perpetual license to play, download, copy, share, and perform the song for personal, non-commercial purposes, including giving it to the recipient, playing it at a private event, and posting it on your personal social media. You may not sell the song, use it in advertising, distribute it on music streaming platforms, or claim that a specific real artist performed it. If you would like a commercial license, email us.

7. Revisions and refunds

Revisions are free and unlimited: change a line, add a memory, fix how the name is sung, or try another style or voice from your song page. If after at least one revision you still aren't happy, email us within 30 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. Technical problems (no file, corrupt audio, the wrong name sung) are refunded immediately on request. Downloading the song does not void this guarantee. 8. Accounts, links, and keeping your song

There are no accounts. Your preview and song pages are private links. Anyone with a link can listen, so keep it safe. We keep purchased songs available for at least two years from purchase; please download your files. Unpurchased previews and the details behind them are deleted after the preview expires.

9. Acceptable use

Don't use HugSongs to make content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, sexual, or that targets a person who hasn't consented; don't try to overload or reverse-engineer the service; don't resell access. We may suspend access for abuse and may report unlawful content where required.

10. Our responsibility

We provide the service with care, but it is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the song concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new date. Continued use after that means you accept the updated terms.

12. Contact and governing law
